Which wall texture should I pick?
The honest answer: the one that fits your house, your light, and what is already on the walls around it. Texture is not one product, it is a family of patterns, and each reads differently once paint goes on. Here is the lineup we spray, in plain terms.
Orange Peel
A fine, even stipple, like the skin of an orange. The most common wall texture in the region because it hides minor imperfections without drawing attention to itself.
Knockdown
Sprayed like splatter, then flattened with a knife while wet, which leaves a mottled, low profile pattern. Popular on both walls and ceilings.
Popcorn
The heavy, classic ceiling texture. We spray full popcorn ceilings and blend repairs into existing ones.
Splatter and Slap Brush
Splatter stays as it lands for a coarser look. Slap brush is worked with a brush for a swirled, fanned pattern. Both are common in existing homes here, which is why being able to match them matters.
Custom Hand Texture
Applied by hand rather than through a hopper, for a finish no spray rig can duplicate. If you have a pattern in mind, bring a photo to the estimate.
Can new texture really blend into old walls?
Yes, when it is done by someone who sprays texture every week. Matching is the hardest part of this trade. The pattern has to match, but so do the density, the depth, and the way the texture catches light down the length of the wall. We tune the mix and the spray until a repaired section reads as one continuous surface, which is exactly what our patch and repair customers are paying for: damage that looks like it never happened.
What affects the cost of texture work?
Mostly the area being sprayed, the texture type, and how much prep and masking the space needs. A new build with empty rooms sprays fast. An occupied house where floors, cabinets, and fixtures all need covering takes longer, and hand textures take more time than sprayed ones. The estimate is free and the price is clear before we start.

Texture goes on after the drywall is hung and finished and before the paint. Because we do all three, you can hand us the wall at any stage, or let one crew take it from bare studs to painted rooms without a handoff in the middle.
